Smart For Life?’s “1 Million Pounds off the Road” Challenge – Lose Weight and Save on Gas
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) September 24, 2008
Smart For Life™ programs, the all natural medical weight loss systems, are challenging 50,000 people to use their smarts and lose 20 pounds by the end of 2008. Smart For Life™ is meeting this challenge “pound per mile” with an accompanying offer that could earn consumers up to $ 300 in free gasoline in a year. If the challenge is met, consumers will be contributing to reducing gas consumption by $ 500,000 and taking one million pounds off the road.
“Our philosophy at Smart For Life™ is to help people lead a healthier lifestyle everyday – and that means, not only losing weight and learning to eat right, but also being considerate of the environment we live in,” stated Dr. Sasson Moulavi, Founder and Medical Director of Smart For Life™ as well as a board-certified bariatric physician.
About Smart For Life’s Challenge
In order to take advantage of this opportunity, consumers simply have to sign up for Smart For Life™ Eat Cookies. Lose Weight. It’s That Simple.™ five-week diet program either online or in one of the participating centers. Once enrolled, consumers are eligible to participate in a gas rebate program, which offers savings on gas of up to $ 300 a year. The five week program (at a cost of $ 279) includes high-quality, all natural, 60 percent organic food.
“We’ve worked hard to ensure that all of the ingredients that make up our Smart Products are of the highest-quality and are 60 percent organic,” stated Dr. Sass. “In order to eat like this each day, consumers would be spending much more time and money to assemble the all-natural ingredients, triple filtered water and preservative free meals that we provide.”

First attempt to do a 1/2 Marathon
First attempt to do a 1/2 Marathon

I decided last night I’d try a longer distance, maybe a 1/2 marathon to see if I’m ready for the marathon.
I started running on a thread mill 45 days ago, then started doing boxing, and then I went to run with a group of people in the beach.
Now I just want to run and run more, I’ve lost 10 pounds, and I want to loose 20 pounds more. Last week I decided I was going to run the miami marathon which is about 180 days away, and I can already do 1/2 marathon in 2 hours 4 minutes and 29 seconds, that’s 13 miles in less than 130 minutes, so I’m averaging 9.54 minutes (9m:32s) per mile already.
So now I know it’s not a question of "Can I do it", but a question of "How fast can I do it". If I keep my current average speed I’ll be doing the marathon in 248 minutes, that’s 4.13 hours or 4 hours and 8 minutes. My goal is to do it at least in 3 hours 45 minutes, I think it’s doable for my first time, I have plenty of time to train and I’m very motivated, so wish me luck.
